Datacenter

P4HOST houses our servers at 530 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA. Here are some information about our Datacenter and Network provider.

Overview
There are literally thousands of web hosting companies out there. We offer high-quality web hosting because we have partnered with companies who own and run million-dollar facilities in which your server will be located. We do this in order to provide our clients with the most reliable and extensive service and support possible.

Network & Data Center

Our Datacenter
(
Telecom Center LA, LLC), at  530 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA) is served by redundant fiber optic connections and utilizes multiple Tier-1 Internet backbone providers. Telecom Center LA is located directly adjacent to the One Wilshire Building on the corner of 6th Street and Grand Ave. in the heart of the "Telecom District," in Downtown Los Angeles. Because of its close proximity, Telecom Center LA is often referred to as "The One Wilshire Annex", offering the widest possible array of connectivity options for its tenants with high-bandwidth service available from
almost every carrier in the Western U.S. and a direct conduit link to the One Wilshire "Meet-me Room". The facility is fitted with waterless fire-suppression systems, UPS and back-up generators, and environmental controls to ensure high-quality, uninterrupted service. The NOC is continuously monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.:

Physical security for safeguarding your site and data
The latest in camera systems monitors both interior and exterior facilities around the clock. Access is limited to authorized personnel only, and strictly enforced by electronic access cards, biometric scanning, and guards.

Environmental control features for maximum reliability
To reduce downtime, our centers feature advanced fire suppression systems, surge suppression, specialized heat and smoke sensors, separate fire zones below the floor and above the ceiling, raised flooring for improved server environment, as well as temperature, humidity, static and airborne particle controls.

Redundant systems to maximize your connectivity and uptime
Telecom Center LA build in redundancy to ensure that your site is open for business. This includes Cisco routers, Layer 2 and 3 switches, our power system generator in addition to our regular grid electrical power, and our backbone. Each server is protected by our fire suppression system and multiple air conditioning systems (HVAC: Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning). In addition, we keep a supply of drives, network cards, processors, motherboards and every other piece of equipment that has even a remote chance of failure. We also use a multiple-SCSI backup cluster system for data storage and recovery.

Unparalleled customer service support for fast problem resolution
Network Operations Centers provide 24/7/365 monitoring of our customers' servers, network status and our connectivity to upstream backbone providers. Our expert technicians identify potential issues and provide resolutions before any problems occur. With access to servers from the monitor room, support and administration personnel continually monitor systems, answer customer questions online and on the telephone and troubleshoot any problems

Network Infrastructure

Mzima Networks has designed a completely fault-tolerant nationwide backbone network connecting to multiple Tier-1 carriers and numerous private peers to provide the highest performance and reliability to its customers. Mzima uses customized, proprietary software in combination with BGP4 routing to make on-the-fly routing decisions, constantly analyzing the many possible paths customer traffic can take. Our expertise and focus is on routing and traffic delivery, allowing customers to receive the benefits of well-managed multi-homed bandwidth without requiring the expertise, equipment or associated costs, as well as receive the benefits of direct private peering with end-user ISP networks.

Mzima interconnects at most major peering locations in the US. Our network is engineered to move IP traffic to and from end-users as quickly as possible. For this reason Mzima aggressively pursues direct traffic exchange with national broadband ISPs.

Internet routing is exceptionally complex and ever-changing. BGP4 routing requires a high degree of specific expertise and knowledge to receive the greatest benefit. This means constant policies analysis and adaptations, responding to security threats, and ongoing route optimization. Our team of routing experts make this their primary focus, allowing customers to focus on their primary business activity, whatever that may be.

Mzima's network features:

• Fully-redundant architecture
• Multi-gigabit backbone with over 20 Gbps of transit/peering capacity
• SONET transit connections for self-healing fault-tolerance
• Multi-layer network design
• Customized routing policies for customers
• BGP best-path routing
• Automatic detection and re-routing around network failures
• Open peering policy allowing for local data delivery
• Carrier fault-tolerance
• Non-oversubscribed bandwidth
• Quality of Service monitoring and analysis

Mzima's Commitment to Quality, Value, and Satisfaction

Mzima Networks has carefully crafted its product offerings to be the best value currently available. This is accomplished by offering true Tier-1 network performance at wholesale prices. By aggregating as much bandwidth as possible,
Mzima buys its connectivity in large quantities, and we pass the savings on to our customers.

To maintain the highest level of uptime and performance, Mzima utilizes a 24x7 monitoring platform that closely watches not only availability, but Quality of Service (QoS). Should any transit connection become unavailable, or fall below our acceptable performance threshold, traffic is automatically re-routed to other providers.

The advantages Mzima delivers to its customers are numerous, including:

• Dedicated, experienced BGP engineers
• 24-hour national Network Operations Center
• Rapid service delivery time (typical port installation time 48 hours)
• Flexible pricing and service options
• Real-time customer statistics portal:
• 24x7 connection monitoring and incident response
• Uptime guarantee and stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Mzima has built its network services platform to be the best currently available, and will continue to make architectural improvements and refinements. Because of our wholesale contracts and bulk purchasing agreements with Internet carriers, Mzima's prices are extremely competitive. Mzima offers
flexible service level types and contract options, including burstable, tiered, and fixed-rate connectivity.
